Attorney Alyce Maurer
Alyce Maurer has worked with the Law Office of Jonathan M. Brand for 25 years.
She is a hard-working, experienced, and passionate attorney with a special interest in:
- An injured worker’s return to work after an industrial injury
- The statutory challenges of workers’ compensation
- Civil laws under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). The laws under these acts can all come into play with the return of a disabled employee back to the job after an injury.
Before attending law school, Alyce worked as a Paralegal for the firm. She found that she had a passion for the unique legal issues that present themselves when industrial injuries arise in personal injury civil actions.
Alyce attended John F. Kennedy University School of Law and was admitted to practice in 2003.
She has represented workers’ compensation applicants at depositions, status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences and trials. In addition, she has also represented personal injury plaintiffs at depositions, status conferences, mediations and arbitrations. Those who know Alyce describe her as a strong and persuasive negotiator, with extraordinary oral and written communication skills. She loves her job and cares deeply about her clients.
